city university of hong kong (dongguan) (cityuhk (dongguan)) is a jointly established university with independent legal entity status and the full backing of city university of hong kong (cityuhk), dongguan university of technology, and the dongguan municipal government. cityuhk (dongguan) aims to develop into a world-class higher education institution, excelling in both research and education. the university adheres to cityuhk’s philosophy of "integration of teaching and research" and the direction of "innovating into the future," ensuring that the academic standards align with those of cityuhk.

to meet the upcoming demands of high-tech development, cityuhk(dongguan) plans to establish four colleges: the college of science, the college of engineering, the college of business, and the college of medical and life sciences. cityuhk(dongguan) has received official approval from the ministry of education for establishment in 2024 and will launch four undergraduate programs in 2024: computer science and technology, intelligent manufacturing engineering, materials science and engineering, and energy and power engineering. additionally, six graduate programs will be rolled out in 2024, including computer science, electronic information engineering, materials engineering and nanotechnology, business information systems, engineering management, and data science. meanwhile, we have begun the admissions process for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
